The Bogan family has a rich history along the oceanfront, founding Bogan's Basin in 1930 where they housed their fishing fleet and from 1987, the River Queen. The River Queen and her dedicated captains, crew and established vendors create experiences like no other with packages designed for delightful private events to awe inspiring weddings on the water.

 

The River Queen features climate controlled upper and lower cabins, two bathrooms, mahogany wood floors and oak paneling. It also boasts two fully stocked bars and three spacious outside viewing decks so you can enjoy the sites, sounds and wonderment on your cruise along the calm inland waters of the Manasquan River, Point Pleasant Canal and Barnegat Bay. Bogan's Basin has been in operation since 1930, run by the same family for over four generations. Our journey began in Brielle, NJ where the idea of river cruises began aboard our party boats. We endeavored to capture the beauty of our environment and enhance the experience, transporting our clients to a place that almost feels like a fantasy; taking a step back in time as soon as they step aboard our vessel.  In 1987, we commissioned the River Queen from a boat builder in North Carolina and upon her completion, she made her maiden voyage of over 1000 miles along the intracoastal waterway to her new home. The River Queen is a custom built, Mississippi River Boat replica designed to captivate your imagination and transport you back to the architectural marvels for which the early 19th century was known. Since her birth, the River Queen has hosted thousands of private events and public cruises.
